The Windwise course was fantastic, I really appreciated how it was broken down to use the mechanics of wind to your advantage. Chelsea is incredibly knowledgeable and explained different wind tactics and scenarios in a way that was easy to grasp and immediately useful. I especially appreciated how much emphasis they put on practical strategies for racing — not just what to do, but why it works. After the class, I felt like I had a major edge on the water, with a much better understanding of reading shifts, learning how to read clouds, and making smarter tactical decisions related to thermals.

A great introduction to understanding and forecasting weather, wind speed and direction. The materials used are comprehensive yet easy to understand. Chelsea's live webinars are well organized and interactive. She is a terrific teacher. High recommend Chelsea for this course and her forecasting services if you plan to be racing in any major regatta.

Chelsea has a way of explaining complex topics so that everyone can understand and apply the information. She does this with any topic, even those with variables and infinite parameters, which is why we have been able to successfully use her methods in all our sailing - both offshore and buoy racing. The amazing part is that it all works! From sea breeze setup, to convergent shores, to thermal plumes - learn her methods and apply them, and you will be amazed how much your sailing improves.

The course is really well structured. The information is absorbable and clear. It helps connect the dots of all the bits of weather info you’ve learned over the years, and Chelsea teaches how to apply it to your sailing.

I recently completed the wind wise course and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The course was incredibly well-structured, covering everything from basic meteorology to racing strategies. Chelsea was knowledgeable and passionate, making the learning experience both educational and enjoyable. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to enhance their skills. When I registered for the course I knew I’d learn more about how the weather impacts sailing conditions but didn’t realize I’d learn how to apply those to my sailing strategies. I learned a ton more than I expected and loving all the new tools that I’m using to prepare for my races. Chelsea has an awesome teaching style that is easy to follow. For anyone serious about their racing, I fully recommend this course.

This was my first introduction to understanding weather and I am very impressed by Chelsea's curriculum. She is extremely knowledgeable and has laid out all the foundational concepts for understanding weather conditions and creating a sailing strategy. Very valuable!

I learnt so much in this course! Chelsea is an excellent teacher and the material is clear, concise and well structured. The course assumes zero marine weather knowledge, so you get a very comprehensive introduction to the basics, and learn how to apply them to coastal racing strategy. It was empowering to gain an understanding of how or why certain patterns develop, instead of having to accept it as just “local knowledge”. Chelsea uses real life weather scenarios when she talks us through different racing strategies, which is interesting and helpful. She also shared tons of weather resources, and gave us the tools to streamline and decipher the data that we are seeing, making the process of translating that info into a strategy a little less overwhelming. All in all, a great experience! :)
